Creating free college application resources for Myanmar students
As a group of students from Myanmar attending top global universities, we created "ချိတ်" as a passion project to share our knowledge and experience to other students - all for free. Our team includes students from institutions such as MIT, Brown, Dartmouth, Tufts, and Swarthmore
Our team members from top global universities will select a limited number of students to personally mentor and guide for their college admission process.
We regularly host webinars about different aspects of the college application process such as the requirements, timeline, extracurriculars, and financial aid.
We post articles demystifying college admissions and sharing our own insights. Written versions of the topics we cover during our webinars will also be available.
We produce a video series to help students in the admissions process by sharing our admissions advisors' flow of thoughts in writing their own essays (with example essays!).
The “ချိတ်” project aims to connect Myanmar students with the world of international education through peer-to-peer guidance on admissions, scholarships, and financial aid.
By offering free advising, webinars, articles, and resources, our goal is to create opportunities by helping other Myanmar students navigate the college admissions process.
